Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra to Premiere New Work at Rector's Palace

The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will present a special summer concert on Tuesday, July 28, at 9:30 p.m. in the magnificent Atrium of the Rector's Palace, featuring internationally acclaimed violinist Roman Simović and conductor Valentin Egel.
The highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of Sinfonietta – Older than Revelin, a new composition by Dubrovnik-born composer Frano Đurović. The specially commissioned work pays tribute to the city's rich history, with its title referencing the centuries-old heritage that predates the iconic Revelin Fortress.
Renowned for its outstanding performances throughout the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will be joined by Roman Simović, one of Croatia's most celebrated violinists and the concertmaster of the London Symphony Orchestra. Under the baton of Valentin Egel, audiences can expect an unforgettable evening of world-class classical music in one of Dubrovnik's most atmospheric concert venues.
The concert begins at 9:30 p.m. in the Atrium of the Rector's Palace and forms part of Dubrovnik's vibrant summer cultural programme.
