Opening of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival attracted over 2,500 guests

The ninth Dubrovnik Winter Festival opened on November 26 with the lighting of the first Advent candle and the switching on of the holiday lights along with a concert by the group Dalmatino on the crowded Stradun. 

To the delight of many Dubrovnik residents and the youngest, the magic of the most beautiful period of the year was completed by the visit of Santa Claus from Lapland with his elves. 

In addition to numerous citizens, this year's opening was magnified by numerous guests who visited Dubrovnik and enjoyed the rich program and opening ceremony. On Saturday, November 26, 2,685 visitors stayed in Dubrovnik. Most of the guests were from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Albania, Germany, USA, Kosovo and Montenegro. 

Christmas is coming to Dubrovnik

According to data from the eVisitor system, 2,400 guests were recorded at the opening of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival in 2019, and 990 in 2021.

In addition to participating in numerous events in the program of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival, for many visitors and guests of the city of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board is organizing free themed tours of the city, entitled Maritime and Cosmopolitan Dubrovnik, every Wednesday and Saturday, in Croatian and English, and presents a performance by folklore ensemble "FA Linđo” every Saturday morning.
