Dubrovnik Airport Breaks Passenger Record, Surpasses Three Million for First Time

Dubrovnik’s Ruđer Bošković Airport has surpassed three million passengers for the first time in its 62-year history, marking a major milestone for Croatia’s southern gateway.
By the end of November, the airport handled 3,058,306 passengers, representing a 4.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Airport officials expect total traffic to reach around 3.1 million by the end of the year.
Describing 2025 as a "turning point year,” airport management cited strong demand across key markets, record summer traffic and expanded flight operations throughout most of the year.
Preliminary figures indicate the airport is on track to post a €6.3 million profit in 2025, supported by increased frequencies on existing routes and the launch of several new services. Highlights included the continued success of the Dubrovnik–New York route, Croatia’s only direct transatlantic connection, which operated daily during the peak summer months.
The summer schedule also introduced five new routes, including three by Ryanair, and saw the return of Swiss International Air Lines with regular flights to Zurich, helping to set new monthly records from May through September.
