Winter Saturdays in Dubrovnik, Done Right

15.01.2026

We’ve had a lot of digital nomads asking us about this event every Saturday, and for good reason. If you’re in Dubrovnik over the winter months and want to experience the city beyond the usual postcard views, the Saturday Winter Mornings in Dubrovnik programme is one of the best ways to do it.

Organised by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, the programme runs right through to 28 March 2026, bringing life, culture and tradition to the Old City during the quieter winter season.

Every Saturday morning, visitors can join a themed guided city walk, led by a professional guide. Tours begin at 9:30 a.m. in English and 12:30 p.m. in Croatian, departing from the Tourist Information Centre at Pile.

Each month focuses on a different theme. In November, the spotlight is on Cosmopolitan Dubrovnik — the story of how a once strictly Roman Catholic city evolved into a place of remarkable religious diversity and tolerance. Within the Old City walls you’ll find Catholic and Orthodox churches, a mosque, and one of the oldest active synagogues in Europe, all standing as quiet witnesses to centuries of coexistence.

After the walk, at 11:30 a.m., the experience continues in front of the Church of St Blaise, where the Dubrovnik Tourist Board hosts a traditional folklore performance — weather permitting. It’s one of those moments that feels genuinely local, unpolished and refreshingly authentic.

Because group sizes are limited, advance registration is required. To secure a spot, sign up by Friday at 5:00 p.m. by emailing tic.pile@tzdubrovnik.hr or calling +385 20 312 011.

If you’re spending winter in Dubrovnik — whether for a week or several months — this weekly programme is a simple, enjoyable way to connect with the city’s history, traditions and everyday rhythm, right through until the end of March.
