Classical Music Under the Stars: Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra Concert Could Be Perfect Evening for Digital Nomads

17.05.2026

Digital nomads spending time in Dubrovnik this spring will have the chance to swap laptops and co-working spaces for an evening of classical music in one of the city’s most atmospheric venues.

The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will perform a special concert on May 21 at the stunning Rector's Palace, with the performance beginning at 9 p.m.

The concert will feature Bulgarian conductor Dian Tchobanov alongside internationally acclaimed flautist Irina Stachinskaya.

The evening’s programme combines Croatian and European classical works, beginning with Symphony No. 6 by Luka Sorkočević, one of Dubrovnik’s most celebrated historical composers.

Audiences will also hear Pablo de Sarasate’s dramatic Carmen Fantasy, followed by Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major.

For many digital nomads choosing Dubrovnik as a temporary home, events like these are becoming an important part of the city’s appeal beyond the summer crowds and beach season.

With remote workers increasingly looking for destinations that offer culture, lifestyle and authentic local experiences alongside reliable internet and co-working spaces, Dubrovnik’s growing calendar of concerts and cultural events is helping strengthen its reputation as a year-round destination.

And few venues capture that atmosphere better than the Rector’s Palace, where centuries-old stone walls and open-air courtyards provide one of the most unique concert settings on the Adriatic.
