Visiting Dubrovnik This Winter? Here Are the New Museum Opening Hours
30.10.2026

Planning a winter visit to Dubrovnik? The city’s museums are adjusting their opening hours from November 1, giving visitors a new timetable to follow when exploring Dubrovnik’s rich cultural heritage.

With the summer tourist season now behind us, Dubrovnik Museums have announced their winter schedule, covering some of the city’s most popular historical attractions.

Among the highlights is the Rector’s Palace, home to the Cultural History Museum, which will welcome visitors from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm every day except Monday.

Those interested in Dubrovnik’s maritime past can explore the Maritime Museum, located in St. John’s Fortress, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, although the museum will be closed on Wednesdays.

For a glimpse into traditional life in the region, the Ethnographic Museum in Rupe will be open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with Tuesdays designated as its weekly closing day.

Visitors hoping to discover Dubrovnik’s archaeological heritage can visit the exhibitions at Revelin Fortress on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, or on Fridays between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. The exhibitions will be closed on Wednesdays.

Another option is the historic Bunić-Kaboga Summer Residence, which will be open from Thursday to Sunday, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Visitors should also be aware of changes during the festive season. All Dubrovnik Museums will be closed on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and the Feast of St. Blaise, while Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve will see reduced opening hours from 9:00 am until noon.

For those exploring Dubrovnik outside the busy summer months, the revised timetable provides an opportunity to plan visits to the city’s museums and historic landmarks.
