The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will begin its concert season in the atrium of the Rector's Palace this Thursday, May 4th. The concert will be conducted by Maestro Ivan Hut, while Matija Novaković will perform as a soloist in Emil Cossetto's Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra. The program of this concert also includes Bersa's Idyll and Prokofiev's Classical Symphony in D major. The concert starts at 9 p.m.

Matija Novaković premiered the Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra by Croatian composer Emil Cossetto in 2003. This Thursday, after twenty years, the Dubrovnik audience has the opportunity to listen to this piece again.
